Terms of Service
Last updated: July 6, 2026
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of The PoolZones (the "Service"), operated from Ontario, Canada. By creating an account, subscribing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility & age
You must be at least 19 years old in Canada (18 in Alberta, Manitoba, and Québec) or 21 years old in the United States to use the Service. The Service is currently only offered to residents of Canada and the United States. Access from other jurisdictions is not supported and may be blocked at checkout.
2. What the Service is (and is not)
The PoolZones is a subscription information and entertainment service that publishes statistical projections and picks for Major League Baseball games. It is not a sportsbook, does not accept wagers, and is not a licensed gambling operator. Nothing on the Service constitutes financial, investment, or professional betting advice. See our Disclaimer and Responsible Gambling pages.
3. Subscriptions, trials & billing
- Daily Pick Report ($5 USD): one-time purchase, delivers one report.
- Weekly Picks Pass ($12.50 USD/week): recurring subscription with a two-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged $12.50 USD and every week thereafter until you cancel.
- Prices are in US dollars and exclusive of applicable taxes. Sales tax, GST/HST/PST, or VAT will be added at checkout where required.
- You may cancel at any time from the customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. See our Refund Policy for details.
4. Acceptable use
You may not: (a) scrape, resell, republish, or redistribute reports or projections without written permission; (b) share your account credentials or reports with non-subscribers; (c) use the Service to violate any law, including in jurisdictions where sports-betting-adjacent services are restricted; or (d) attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service.
5. No guarantee of results
All projections and picks are probabilistic opinions based on statistical models. Past calibration does not guarantee future accuracy. The PoolZones makes no representation or warranty that any pick will win, and you accept that all wagering decisions and losses are entirely your responsibility.
6. Account & termination
You are responsible for all activity on your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or initiate fraudulent chargebacks. Upon termination, your access to reports ends immediately; unused prepaid time is refunded only where required by law.
7. Intellectual property
All content on the Service, including projections, methodology, code, and design, is owned by The PoolZones or its licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable, and revocable license to view reports for your own use only.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The PoolZones and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, or wagers, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Total liability is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the six months preceding the claim, or (b) CAD $100.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold The PoolZones harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
11. Governing law & dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. If mandatory arbitration is required by your local law, the arbitration will be held in Toronto, Ontario, on an individual (not class) basis.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or on the Service. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
13. Contact
These Terms are a starting-point template. You should have them reviewed by a Canadian lawyer before public go-live.
